"To be King" plays in the beautiful, peaceful country Katoren. After the death of the king, the ministers have adopted and begun to suppress the country's government. The young Stach want to fight against this injustice, restore the old peace again and become king.

Before the camera of the fantasy drama, among the two main actors Mingus Dagelet (Stach) and Abbey Hoes also Hugo Koolschijn and Catherine ten Bruggencate.

Right at the start of production turns the crew to the Oscar-nominated director Ben Sombogaart one of the key scenes of the movie in South Tyrol.
